Moo Duk Kwan may be translated as “Institute of Martial Virtue”. The Moo Duk Kwan is a worldwide martial arts organization which was founded by the late Grandmaster Hwang Kee upon the liberation of Korea in 1945. The Moo Duk Kwan is devoted to improving human relations through training in the traditional Korean martial art of Soo Bahk Do.

As a worldwide organization, the Moo Duk Kwan maintains a high standard for instructors and students. All instructors are internationally certified and all rank promotions are administered on a national and international level. This means that all practitioners of Soo Bahk Do throughout the world are certified by the World Moo Duk Kwan. This unique structure maintains the integrity of our art and ensures that all practitioners will receive the best training experience possible.

The Oregon Moo Duk Kwan is the only studio in the state certified to teach the art of Soo Bahk Do. The OMDK was established by Master Jared Rosenthal in 2009. Master Rosenthal began his training at the age of seven has been instructing Soo Bahk Do for over twelve years. He is internationally certified and has trained extensively in Korea. He has also participated in numerous Moo Duk Kwan events in the United States as well as in Australia, Greece, Israel, Malaysia and Mexico.
