Jared Rosenthal began his training in the Moo Duk Kwan under Master Seo Hyun Ho at the age of seven. He was awarded his first Dan in 1994. He is currently a student of Master Alex Baran of New York.

In 2001 Master Rosenthal established Moo Duk Kwan at the State University of New York at Albany while pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree. The Albany Moo Duk Kwan club remains active to this day. In 2005 he established Moo Duk Kwan at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel while attending graduate school. He served as a representative of Israel at the Moo Duk Kwan’s 60^th Anniversary Celebration in 2005.

Master Rosenthal trained extensively in Korea in 2003-2004 while studying Korean language at Yonsei University in Seoul. He had the privilege of training with Master Lee Dong Gyu, the Head Technical Advisor of the Korean Soo Bahk Do Association, and his many talented students. During this time he was evaluated for 4^th Dan (Master) at the weeklong Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa.

Master Rosenthal has competed successfully in numerous Regional, National and International tournaments, winning titles in both Form and Sparring competition. He has also traveled extensively to participate in various international Moo Duk Kwan events.

In 2009 Master Rosenthal established the Oregon Moo Duk Kwan in Lake Oswego, Oregon. It is a full-time studio and the only certified Moo Duk Kwan studio in the state. During the same year he also returned to Korea to test for 5^th Dan (Sa Bom) at the weeklong Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa.

Master Rosenthal currently serves as the Representative of the World Moo Duk Kwan Youth Leadership Program for Region 10 and for the USA. He was appointed as the US Representative for the program in Mendoza, Argentina in 2011. He continues to travel extensively to further his knowledge of the traditional Korean art of Soo Bahk Do.

Master Steve Hunt began his Soo Bahk Do (Tang Soo Do) training in the mid-seventies under the guidance of Master Fred Kenyon in San Diego, California. He earned his first Dan (midnight blue/black belt) in 1982. He attained the rank of 4^th Dan and Sa Bom, certified master instructor, at the weeklong master test in 1993.

A current resident of Lake Oswego, he joined the Oregon Moo Duk Kwan in October 2009. Since then he has graciously offered his expertise in the evening adult classes and Saturday morning children’s classes. He has also been active in various Moo Duk Kwan events throughout the region. We are honored to have Master Steve Hunt at our school.
